Project Overview

The dataset includes 4,077 Spotify playlists, each labeled with an MBTI personality type and function pair. It features audio attributes like danceability, energy, and tempo, with mean and standard deviation values. The data combines relational aspects (playlists and personality types) and thematic aspects (audio features), with scores assigned to create quantitative measures.

BRIGGS

Myers Briggs Type Indicator

Katherine and Isabel Briggs Myers developed the MBTI from Carl Jung's Psychological Types, classifying people into 16 personalities based on Extraversion/Introversion, Sensing/Intuition, Thinking/Feeling, and Judging/Perceiving. The test uses 93 forced-choice questions to help individuals explore their preferences, traits, and relationships, rather than ranking personalities or diagnosing issues.

ABOUT THE DATASET

The Kaggle dataset includes 4,077 Spotify playlists labeled with MBTI personality types and function pairs. It features 6 audio quality attributes (with mean and standard deviation) and 8 key counts for major and minor modalities. The dataset merges relational data (playlists and personality types) with thematic audio features, using scores to generate quantitative metrics.

The Kaggle dataset is skewed due to the limited number of playlists associated with Sentinel (SJ) function pairs.
